Definition

What is cold email infrastructure?

Cold email infrastructure is the sending setup that decides whether your messages reach an inbox at all — dedicated domains, provisioned mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentication, and a warmup period that builds sender reputation before any campaign traffic.

The failure points

Four ways cold email dies

No authentication

Missing SPF, DKIM or DMARC and you are filtered on arrival.

Cold domain, hot volume

Sending hard from day one burns the domain permanently.

Primary domain used

One bad campaign and your invoices stop arriving too.

Unverified lists

Bounces tell providers you are guessing addresses.

What gets built

Six steps, ten days

  • Domains registered. Separate from your primary. Its reputation is never exposed.
  • Inboxes provisioned. At volumes that stay under provider limits.
  • Authentication set. SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured and verified.
  • Warmup run. Reputation built gradually before real traffic.
  • Sequence loaded. Copy written and staged, ready to launch.
  • Deliverability tested. Placement checked before the first send.

Provision

Domains registered, mailboxes created, DNS records published.

03–09

Warm

Reputation built gradually. Sequence written while it runs.

Test and hand over

Placement checked, access transferred, ready to send.

We never send from your domain.

Burn a primary domain and every email you send suffers — invoices included. So we do not touch it.

Cold email questions

Why can I not just send from our normal email?

Cold volume from a primary domain damages its sender reputation permanently. Once that happens every email from your company degrades — invoices, support replies, contracts. Dedicated domains keep the risk isolated.

How long does warmup take?

Roughly two weeks before meaningful volume. It cannot be rushed — sending hard from a cold domain is the single fastest way to land permanently in spam.

Do I own the domains and inboxes?

Yes. They are registered to you, and access is handed over at the end of the build. Nothing is held hostage.

Is this included in a sprint?

Yes. Every sprint includes full infrastructure. Buy this standalone only if you plan to run the campaigns yourself.

What ongoing costs should I expect?

Domains and mailboxes carry their own subscription costs, typically $500–$2,000 per month at scale depending on volume. Those are paid to the providers directly, not to vozume.
